My name is Sofia; Clara’s my middle name. I’m a 90s girl, born on an avocado farm in the south of Spain with no electricity, no running water, three dogs and lots and lots of fresh fruit. A whole lot changed when we moved to Switzerland when I was about 10 years old but I’m still a country girl at heart and an avid avocado lover.
My parents are English which explains why I just can’t shake the English accent despite never really having lived in England.
I’m an entrepreneur at heart, all the way back to the days when I used to set up a stall at the Saturday market with my brother to sell chipped marbles.
I started my first company (totally unrelated to the blog) in 2013 just after I graduated. I learnt a lot, made a lot of mistakes, celebrated some small successes, and met lots of inspiring people but things didn’t quite go to plan.
In 2016, I decided to start working independently focusing on my blog and other freelance work. I am passionate about food photography, making, baking and sharing ideas that might inspire others.
It’s obviously not all easy but solely dedicating myself to projects I love has been the best decision ever. I try to share lots about the challenges here on the blog and would love to know about your story and what you’re up to!
Welcome to my blog – it’s such a pleasure to have you here. Don’t forget to connect on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and/or Bloglovin to stay up to date on the latest posts.
Big bisous. xS
