A PEEK AT MY WEEK No. 15: DECORATING MY FIRST DIY SHOP WINDOW!

It’s kind of crazy to think that a whole year ago (almost to the day), I had just finished the décor at Le Pointu and that earlier this week, I had the opportunity to decorate my first ever shop window!

I worked on this project with Kusmi Tea, probably my favourite loose leaf tea shop. The task was to decorate their “vitrine” in Geneva. Their shop is on one of the most popular shopping streets in Geneva (Rue de Rive 13, 1204 Genève for those of you who want to stop by) and it is so exciting to walk past the shop and see my very own little decor set up.

Hannah came along as I was setting up on Monday morning and shot a few before and after photos.

Here’s the space I had to play with:

Kusmi tea GeneveThe brief was “Back to school” but I also thought it would be fun to show passersby a few ways to upcycle Kusmi Tea tins as they are so beautifully designed, are way too nice to just throw away and mainly because I have a few dotted around my own home that I love!

Here’s what I put together:

And the big tea tins are used as lights above the “desk area” hanging from this bar…

And here I am looking like a very tired (but stupidly proud) 15 year-old in my overall dress… no wonder I still get asked for ID when I buy wine!

I’m so happy with how it turned out and have a beaming smile when I see people peering through the shop window!!

I’m also so very excited that my blog has got me to a position where I can call this work. I always say that my number one objective with regards to the business I am building is to spend my days doing the things I love. When I look back on the year that has just gone by, I have to say, I wouldn’t have chosen to spend my days any differently. I’ve been brainstorming, cooking, creating and making things I love and I’m feeling ever so grateful for all your support and encouragement along the way.

Big bisous from one very excited Sofia and please tag me or send me photos if you walk past the shop! I can’t tell you how happy it has made me to receive them so far! xS
