Here is the last recipe from my autumn tea video and one I will be making all through the season. I love drinks that warm the soul and this one certainly does with a slight kick from the alcohol and a mouthful of spiced fruit. This recipe can be made with either apple juice or cider and is the perfect match for these ginger biscuits.
Ingredients: 1l apple juice or cider, 100ml sweet white wine, 50ml brandy, 2 teaspoons honey, small squeeze of lime, 1 cinnamon stick, a pinch of all spice, a pinch of ginger, a pinch of punch puran, a few cloves, 1 orange sliced, 1/2 apple sliced, 1/2 lime sliced. Method: place all ingredients apart from the brandy in a large saucepan and bring to the boil, remove from heat, pour in brandy and serve. Can be left to cool and reheated just be sure to take out the orange and lime slices to avoid a pithy taste.
